Southwest NEEDS new planes. The Boeing 737 is junk. Small fuselage, 2 lavs for 140 people, narrow seats, slow enroute. Known in the ATC world as the "Southwest Slugs", they simply weren't designed for long haul/transcon routes that their trying to make them work on now. The A320, B757 & other aircraft are far superior, far faster. LAX-ORD on SWA: 4 hours, 20 minutes. On any other airline/aircraft: 3 hours, 55 minutes, an extra bathroom & first class. Time to upgrade!
