In a Nov. 4, 2005 RNAi News story, Isaac Bentwich mentioned that Rosetta had sequenced and confirmed 200 microRNAs and was in the process of validating 300 more. He also mentioned that if 1,000 microRNAs were ultimately confirmed, Rosetta would own between 50% and 80% of them. I'm sure other investors would also like to get more details on the eight notices of allowance mentioned in the quarterly call. Are they all related to diagnostics?

What's going on with the work they've done on viruses such as Epstein-Barr, HIV and Herpes? Any licensing opportunities? Can they get any cash for the work done on the liver cancer project with Regulus?

Has Rosetta ever published the approximate number of microRNAs it has discovered? If that number is near 500, I have to believe that they could raise a significant amount of cash through licensing deals, especially in non-core areas. I'd like to see the number of ordinary shares stay the same for the next few years if possible.

How many microRNAs does Regulus own exclusively? They received an upfront payment of $15 million for their inflammatory disease alliance with GSK last year. That's 1.5 years of operating expenses for Rosetta.

I have to believe that the people who have staked their reputations on Rosetta's success will ultimately achieve their goals and advance the field of cancer diagnostics. I know several people who are eagerly awaiting the commercialization of better cancer screening tests.
