Mariner, those of us who have worked for Frontier a longtime really enjoy your posts, appreciate your support and your positive spin on everything. However, working for Frontier the last two years and especially now with all the spiraling problems and fights we are facing (to use a movie quote from Jerry McGuire) is "an up at dawn, soul sucking, pride swallowing siege that we will never fully tell you about." The atmosphere has completely changed. You now have not just two, BUT SEVERAL, misfit, bottomfeeding, ghetto airlines with different unions and extremely angry workforces forced into merging with us. The kind of regional feeder companies, that quite frankly most of us would not have even applied to for a job in our most desperate hour. I hate to blow your image of "young lions" and other such purple prose, but this is a very sad wimpering end of a company that had such potential, such great employees, such momentum, destroyed by incompetent leadership. We receive minimal, insulting at best, correspondence from management. And don't blame the recession, there are plenty of other companies that didn't end up in this unprecedented cluster****. In fact I don't think there is any incident in our industry where a major airline has fallen so far backward and bizzarrly, much less into a cluster**** so unheard of. Most of us feel our time has been wasted in an unprecedented manner in the industry. We simply try to get through the days seeing how much worse it will get, how much more can we take, how much more will be taken away from us before we bolt or worse. I know this isn't your concern, you are here to talk about young lions and stock and illusions of grand designs. But this kind of unhappy workforce does tend to effect things once the fights really get going. And your wunderkind BB has never even had to pay for his own gas, he has never run an actual airline like ours, much less with all the endless integration problems from all his aquisitions, that not even an experienced major CEO could fathom.
And when his only nuggets he throws us are that he "brings God to work with him everyday" and about prayer it just makes us more embarrassed, nervous and nauseous. I'm just keepin' it real, sorry.
