It appears that CEO Barry Shaked is looking for buyers for the company he founded over 27 years ago. Recently having fired old time friend and company culture vanguard Avinoam Bloch, Retalix participants at the recent NACS trade show were overheard to say that all R&D is to be pulled back to Israel and that certain non-performing assets will be sold off in the coming months. While that alone will not buoy the stock price of RTLX, the conversation that Shaked is looking to retire should. Shaked has been through some recent family trauma with the death of his daughter and several colleagues say he is consolidating the company to it's core and preparing to sell it to a holding company or another large enterprise software firm such as SAP or Oracle.
