Congress passed changes in net-operating loss carryback rules, extending the carryback provision from 2 years to 5 years.

The article lists PMI and Ambac as some of the biggest beneficiaries, but Radian will be a big beneficiary too! On their conference call, Ambac's management said that the gains will be used to increase statutory capital. The same should to be true for Radian, which will be a big help!
