so you say, but if you scroll down to fig. 3 at the link below you will see that coal prices have been about the same for the last year, though gas has come down considerably.

Also don't forget that rri is half or more nat. gas MW's and furthermore, there are no carbon credits for coal now or in the near future , and ntm that nat. gas is also a green house gas and will also be affected if there are any kind of carbon credits....

Overall, the economy has taken a toll on power producers and uSA total generation is down.
