Bet you're thinking I'm posting about Ida! Well, we finally could see some of that gigantic Gulf production shut-in for 5-6 days. But I'm talking corn here folks. Corn? Yep, good ol' on-the-ear corn. Corn that's wet--very wet. Probably the wettest in 40 years in the Midwest, and probably about the same in all the ag states. In the midwest, NG is the primary drying fuel, and it takes quite a bit of NG to get 'er done. We have had dismal industrial demand for NG, but if you want to classify our highly mechanized farms of today in that camp--which I won't argue with--it's going to get a lift. I can't think of a place in 8 Midwest states that hasn't had super amounts of rain late-summer and fall. BIG problem just getting it out of the fields. And once out, you dry it or let it rot. Period. Billions of bushels. I think you'll see a whole bunch of "experts" in the next 6 weeks scratching their heads wondering about the demand rise at this time of year. And I think we'll mop up some of that excessive storage we have out there--just in time for winter. GLTA.
