First, this is not too surprising in today's economic climate. Most companies have eliminated pension benefits altogether, people better be doing thier own retirement planning...or old age will be a nightmare.
Sorry that Qwest took this path, but not surprised. It probably is minimal impact to those close to retirement age already, but for folks that have a lot of accredited years but still 10+ years from pulling the cord this will be a huge impact. Hopefully, there won't be an exodus of good talent that decide to leave based on the decision. CTG Rating :
