I`ve never met any eastern european americans who expressed those opinions. Usually they`ve been completely neutral and mum on the subject. Instead, a rather peasant like admiration for the group you refer to. True brainwashed Americans.

Rather, I`ve noticed a defensiveness about their ancestry. In the past anyway, maybe not so much today. Decades ago at college, a friend confided that his father had changed their last name, anglicized it, to hide their Polish ancestry. I was really surprised at that time. I didn`t realize that some Poles were ashamed, (at that point in time anyway) of their Polish ancestry. Here was this blue eyed blond handsome intelligent young man that was obviously ashamed of who he was. Completely amazed me.

In retrospect, not surprising though, when you consider who controls the brainwashing mechanisms in this country.

My personal experience has been that German americans are the most aware of the true nature of the group you mentioned. That group is small though, and dwindling, because there are few German americans left. They`ve inter-married and mixed, like most other people have in this country.

You know, I think Hitler did more harm to Germans than any other group. One thing many overlook, he wasn`t a German, he was Austrian. I wouldn`t be surprised if Germans hate him more than Jews do.
