As a former silicon product engineer, I don't know how they can make this statement. How would one know that the silison works without the s/w?? S/W shows that the silicon won't work, then it is one long expensive road of silicon re-spin, re-test everything etc. etc.

So for me for now, the ethernet part of elx's CNA silicon is proven, but nothing else is.
