I only have a 1700 dollar short term capital gain on the dgl shares I sold last year, and I claimed that on schedule D. Yet I have this K-1 form showing 1700 under line 11 C. So what do I do with this K-1 form? Ignore it and go with my 1700 short term capital gain on schedule D, or look for more forms to file? I hate the complexity of our tax code...its like that so the fat cats can cheat their way out of paying taxes, while the rest of us just give up in frustration and pay the max.
