DBP started 1/5/07 @ $23.56, now @ $34.50; gain of about 50%, or 35% annual.

Gold inflation adjusted worth $2,115 to $2,200/oz today, gold hit $875 per oz in 1980. Gold today trading @ about $930/oz.
