In plain English, PGP gets whacked twice when rates rise: once when its large fixed-rate bond portfolio declines in value, and again when money comes out of stocks into bonds.

The question then becomes when will the Fed start hiking interest rates... obviously a lot of debate on this point but my opinion is rates will stay low for quite some time, at least 1 year but probably longer.
