for the month of April was the best since `91-`92 with reports that Libor and credit spreads continue to decline and narrow respectively. On the economic front more and more economists express optimism the recession is going to end earlier than the consensus 4th quarter forecast. Combine this with better than expected 2nd quarter earnings and better housing numbers and all appearances are that "May go away won't happen". It's a big week for economic releases with the bank stress test on Thursday and the jobs report Friday. A pull-back historically of 10% to 30% of the initial advance of a beginning bull market advance would not be out of the question. Then it's back the truck up. Otherwise, expect the market to climb the wall of worry. This is good news for investing along the risk spectrum... comments from anyone. Conclusion: Can new highs be that far off?
