One of the major problems about investing in Indonesia (and perhaps why Indonesia has not been added to the existing BRICks to make them the BRIICks) is the vast corruption in that archipeligo.

TLK was never an arms length operation, it was always a government entity, and, as I recall, the appointments to the TLK board was always more political than it was financial.

I am long and strong here because there are plenty of people in Indonesia who want to join the modern world of communications and putting in landlines is just not feasible economically. We, as genuine investors, have to hope for honesty, transparency, and growth.

Remember, TLK is an ADR because they came to the marketplace for funds to modernize telecommunications in Indonesia. How does that project look in late 2009? TIA.

The shareprice could easily rise to $50 in 2010 if the dice are properly rolled. A falling US dollar does us no good with TLK IMHO.
