Some comments:

On an earlier update, the CEO said they were expecting 25 to 50 million invitations to go out on the first day. (That's about 3 weeks ago.)

During this update, he says 200,000 have now joined Blastoff. In other words, 100,000 joined because of the invitations or Pepsi ads. Not exactly viral. Is it? Those recent joiners come from 25 to 50 million exposures. Now quadruple those exposures and you've tapped every adult in the U.S..

Further, he stated that shoppers have now spent $2 million. That represents, he said, about $100,000 going back into members pockets (rebates? commissions? call it what you will).

Do the math. That works out to a whopping 50 cents average payoff per PPD associate. Or is it 25 cents if half the joiners were PPD associates? Don't spend it all in one place! And how many hours did you invest in earning your half dollar? Whew! Washing dishes for a salary would be living large by comparison to your Blastoff income.

It is a mess. And it is a mistake by the PPD CEO to hold this forth as a re-launch of their business. You've been fiddled with. And I cleaned that one up!
