Very interesting in the possible intellectural property with immediate release omeprazole in PA. It is well known that Prilosec (omeprazole) should be taken before eating in the morning to aviod omeprazole to be disabled by acid. Without certain formulating features, any immediate release omeprazole would be disabled by acid in upper GI. Pozen may really have IP(s) with IR omeprazole. But, not sure how strong.
