WMy CRT TV that I junked during the DTV switch was 35" wide Sony but it used 190 watts of Power every Hour it was on.

My LCD 32" replacement uses 80 watts of power every hour its on.
All the CFL bulbs in my house make for definitely less usage of power.

My new H/W marathon tank from Rheem uses less energy then the other one, as well as my Refrig using less power . Multiply this consumption pattern by 5 Million people in the DC area..

PLus those that may be unemployed , homeless or decided that using Skylights is better & cheaper then cutting on a light.
Add in a 20% Cost Hike in DC-MD-VA and guess what..

Demand isn't what it used to be..
