Let me be clear: large pharm is NOT interested in combination drugs for obesity. they took their chance on a mechanism that did not work (cannabinoid receptors)and have not since invested in this space. in fact they have been clear that this is a market they are NOT interested in. They know that weight loss has to be >10 placebo subracted from baseline to be meaningful and none of these combination drugs reach that level. So if a partnership comes, its going to be from a crappy company on crappy terms. honestly, the obesity space is not meant for a 30 person company.

further, reimbursement is big for this market and third party payers are ONLY reimbursing gastric bypas and lapbands b/c with those you are guaranteed >20% weight loss w/o side effects, generic substitution risk etc.
