The news that continues to come out makes this stock a no brainer. My post will highlight why
we OPTT enthusiasts can make money off known information.

Disclosure: I bought in the 4s and sold everything the 8s and 9s on the Lockheed news.
I am back in with a smaller long position at 6.39.

Side note: I was very disappointed with the way the Lockheed announcement was spun. Although it wasn't incorrectly worded, like many news releases the titles tend to be very misleading. Investor relations did tell me OPTT is paying Lockheed for the services. Not that that is bad news. But at this stage I want to see people giving OPTT money, not OPTT paying out of its small pocket book. IMO, the Lockheed announcement was not BIG news. Also, I was very disappointed with Taylor dumping into the spike. However, he is getting older and is entitled to pocket some change. He sells pretty frequently, which is understandable. Maybe he needs money for something, whatever. He is allowed to.

But I returned at 6.39. Why?

All the previous reasons still held:
* Traded below cash, with almost zero debt.
* Recent $750k U.S. gov grant
* Insiders (other than taylor who owns 7-8% of outstanding shares) have bought recently
* Don't forget entry into Tokyo
* Lockheed
* 2.4 million dollar contract with navy. (3.7 million in revenue last year total) This is guaranteed revenue that can be put into your estimates.
* autonomous buoy business is ready to go now for homeland security or for anyone else who wants to generate power out at sea
* diversified sources of money from many different governments. They have connections all over the world
* the only other wave project in the world with promise was benched because the backer went belly up
* finavera's buoy sank
* OPT might have the winning design. It definitely is starting to get some real support.


New reasons:

* the underwater substation pod is now functioning. This piece alone lets these buoys be less intrusive on the marine environment by channeling the electricity from 10 buoys into 1 cable.
* obviously this 66 million dollar grant is HUGE for a 60 something million dollar company (using Thursday's close)

Future reasons:

* the PB150 is about to be dropped into the water. Even though it is expected in early 2010, investors will get excited when the actual date is announced on this coming conference call. It is guaranteed news. Whether it works out as expected we'll find out in time.
* if the PB150 works (very likely), lots of new money from investors and government will be coming our way. There are companies with similar prospects and zero profitability that are worth 800 million dollars (10x OPTT's current valuation) because of government grants.

Should be an interesting week coming up. But I would really keep my eyes peeled for the coming conference call in early December. Gonna be an increase in revenue, and a PB150 announcement. We're set. Now if we could only stop paying the top executives so much cash....bothers me but I"ll live with it for now.
