New to OPTR...saw OPT-80 briefly mentioned in a medical journal article about recurrent C diff.

Anyone involved in hospital-based medicine knows how large scale the C diff problem is. Flagyl failure/recurence rates are increasing.

New guidelines for sepsis and pneumonia treatments in ER patients dictate expedious antibiotic treatment empirically. This often leads to extraneous antibiotic use in pt's tentatively diagnosed with the above in an effort to meet those mandated guidelines.

This antibiotic has shown very good results in late trials. I am hopeful their latest phase III is equally efficacious and safe. If so, an FDA approval is very likely and the pps will reflect this.

Not cheap at $13 but OPTR represents a good risk/benefit ratio and strong potential for return on equity IMO.
