A document was filed today in Cassidy's criminal case that requested and was granted 2 things. 1) they got a few extra days to write up Cassidy's motion to dismiss the criminal charges (now Nov 4th) and 2) Cassidy was granted permission to travel to nearby states in the performance of his job. His WHAT???? Did someone say his JOB!!!????

Cassidy's job apparently is CEO of a company called Steelways. It is a private company in Newburg, NY. Additionally Steelways is launching a company called Star Energy (wind, bio-fuels)(Their website is still under construction)

You gotta give this guy credit for not only finding work in this economy, but landing another gig as a CEO. Perhaps in addition to Bridges and Swimming pools, Steelways also manufactures BRASS BALLS? I'd like to believe that Cassidy being granted permission to travel means that the case against him is weak - but I'm more inclined to believe that they allowed him to travel because of the whole innocent until proven guilty thing... and how it would look bad if the court was preventing a guy from trying to make a living (selling bridges).

Perhaps Cassidy thought the company was Steal -ways (as in caught stealing) rather than Steelways ba-dum-dum

Perhaps Steelways can get a contract making prison bars ba-dum-dum

Perhaps Steelways will try to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge ba-dum-dum Hey I'm here all night folks!

Speaking of Steel (no connection to Steelways, Inc) - I thought it was cool that several tons of steel from the Trade Center was used in a brand new battleship called the New York. It sailed by Ground Zero today for the first time. That's the kind brass balls that made America great. Y'know... We're goona melt that stuff down and point it right back at the terrorists ... as a God Damned Battleship. Defiant Resourceful Beautiful.
