Since we assume the Neulasta contract with Amgen expires in July 2010 and no mention about a new contract from Howard it appears to me the $31 mil. coming to Nektar has to be from Amgen for a Neulasta extension. I doubt Amgen would go down the road to the July 2010 date without something being resolved sooner. It has to be the limited number of renewal options which triggers the $31mil.

Amgen agreement: The term of the agreement is for a fixed duration with a limited number of renewal options. This agreement is scheduled to expire in 2010."
