That's a good point. NKTR isn't guaranteed anything near $1.5B. The pact only states that AZN perform "commercially reasonable efforts" to get the drug to market. It's helps immensely if NKTR has the resources to do the job itself. 118/119 would have seemed to be the simplest to move through Phase III and out in the field, especially compared to 102/105.
