Excluding the one time charges of $27 million dollars for the $21 million defense fees relating to the failed Exelon takeover, and the $6 million Reliant acquisition costs the company earned $1.12 per share in the quarter. This number is only $0.02 shy of the average analyst estimate of $1.14 per share. Based upon the very low P/E this company trades at, todays sell-off was well just plain ridiculous.
