In a portfolio on http://cm.my.yahoo.com/, it's a sort of red star superimposed on the white rectangle to the left of the ticker (if you hover the mouse over the rectangle, it expands into a chart and a list of headlines). In this case the first headline says "2 hours ago", but it's actually from September 9.
