If we can get a major publication like the TIMES (or any TV etc.) to reveal the Fed's overlooking NVAX...well
My reply to the TIMES article below...

Frieden, Schaftner, Olsterholm, Sebelius and others are indeed to "blame" (your article today) for the lack of swine flu vaccine.

They chose to ignore the vaccine developed ready for fast track trial and manufacture by Novavax whose scientists developed the virus-like-particle "seed" by June 4th from CDC DNA sequence.

The HHS (or CDC, FDA etc) could have funded phase 1 trials in June. The H1N1 vaccine could have gone into production, given fast track emergency status by July. Novavax has a small bioreactor plant to produce 100,000 doses per week...however, as they have done recently for Mexico, they might have enlisted the forces of partners GE Healthcare and Xcellerex to move quickly into large scale production.

Novavax also has a H5N1 vaccine ready for phase II testing but the Feds have not offered the necessary funding...chosing to wait until bird flu returns in force, one assumes.

Novavax vaccines contain NO virus DNA. Human tests have proven the safety and efficacy...their tri-valent flu vaccine having proved the VLP technology.

The point is...the Feds have dragged their feet on supporting this vaccine technology of the future. They refuse to even mention it as these "Brownies" repeat their lack of vaccine on the egg based, antiquated process which they ave funded in amounts well over a billion dollars over the past few years since the bird flu scare.

A brilliant, proven technology exists (Merck Gardasil is VLP) but they pour dollars into new egg based plants.

These Federal planners lack prescience and now hide the truth.
