I love the CDO repurchases, but when something looks too good to be true....I know this did actually occur, but what rationale would the noteholders have by selling their debt at a 90% discount. Just does not make sense unless the sellers had their own flipside deal to plow the 17 million they got into somewhere near 150 million of distressed debt? anyone?
