Napco just keeps digging themselves into a hole. One bad project after another. First they had the deadbolt based alarm that was designed for ADT. That worked out great. Napco designed the product, built a ton of units, then sold almost nothing. They are probably still sitting on the shelves at Napco and counted as inventory. Then, they created their own competition by releasing Napco Access, a rebranded version of their Continental Access product. Now they are making a combination fire alarm and burglar alarm. Something that will probably also flop because of liability issues for the installer. I wonder if anyone at Napco with any authority actually bothers talking with installers and end users before they dump $ down the drain. If they want to increase "shareholder value" why not start making products that will sell. Sell more products, stock price goes up and you have magically increased "shareholder value"
