In the late 80's the Chinese drove up housing in BC to the point, many Canadians couldn't afford homes in their own country, the same could easily happen here, never mind our other assets.

And the article doesn't mention the fact that fully 40% of so called home buyers were speculators, and they are the first to walk, when they get "soggy."

Most working class people who buy homes, buy them to live in, and as long as they stay employed, will not walk.
