Well my fellow Nordsonites your old pal Flacid is back on his box today. It's been awhile since my last post due to drinking too much from the reductions back in October. Still the best RIE in the history of Nordson good ole JG himself(bastard).
Anyways, it seems the factories are starting to furlough their salary personnel the poor hourly folks have been doing it almost four weeks I believe and now the salary's turn next week.
Up here in Ohio we've shut down the whole damn place this week. My question for all of you manufacturing resources is this: Are the pompass asses in Westlake and John's Creek going to experience furlough. You know the people that are nothing but overhead and cost. The ones that put nothing in a box some of which don't even contribute to putting product in a box? Sure most of them could take a month without pay and not feel it but the lower paid manufacturing crew will. Yeah, let's save money by sending home the cheapest? Makes a lot of sense don't it?
Let's give everyone a blackberry because well after all they are cool and hip. Never mind the monthly charges we pay for that or how some managers use them for their personnel phones more than work related!
The damn lights still stay on all night and that must be free as well.
I think the company should take ideas from the people in effort to save cost. I think those of you who have company cell phones and use them everyday like you own it should turn them in! You might save someone's job!
Let's come together and all suffer through this hard time. Not just the blue collars but all collars!
