Go to zero?     26-Nov-08 12:07 pm
Unfortunately heavy oil will not be profitable now, and the company still needs money to open its door.

The stock crashed (from $2.50 to below $1) earlier when oil was trading at $140 due to project delay and others, and now oil is trading around $50, any oil they produce will not be profitable. The more oil they produce, the more money they will lose.

If the management is smart, they should stop all the projects, stop all payroll, and just keep money in the bank, then the stock will trade at the discount of the cash.

If not and they continue to burn cash (and pay their management), the stock will go to zero like its partner stocks.
Eventually, some one will come and pick up their properties penny on the dollar, and shareholders will get nothing in return for the investment.

Remember what happened to Lehman Brothers? They lost all their investment, lost all the money shareholders gave to them, lost all the money investors put in their funds, and yet they still managed to get hundred million dollars as bonus to the management in the U.S. before bankruptcy so that those management can retire from the bonus. (did they ever return that money?) The bonus is more than some of lifetime saving of average family.
