I'm an experienced analyst, but a novice to this company, and industry.
Can someone please provide the following facts/background:
1. How carbon credits, and the US govt intent to rub out coal could affect Mirant.
2. How the price of coal affects the profit margin of Mirant
3. How gas/oil, or other "substitutes" could also play a part.
Essentially, if the price of coal rises, does this benefit Mirant, or is it a push because of the hedging opportunity?
