If Nov. $45 strike PUT options were SOLD or WRITTEN by him, I would do nothing and let them expire worthless. I would question why WRITE near Nov. $45 when the stock was at $55 after a strong move up. IMO, you write put options for the premium or to buy shares cheap. Writing $45 does not look like "buy cheap" and that had to be a low premium trade.
If MOS was near the $45 strike + $1.30 = $46.30 at the end of expiration week, I would probably just roll them out to Dec. since there is about $1 credit in the trade today. I like to write put options but only after the market/stock takes a several day dive and is at a low. Rating :
