What....! Where do you get that? If you are referring to the $575M cash convertible notes at 3.75%, the conversion price was $13.32 for a total potential dilution of 43.125M shares. MYL bought a convertible note hedge(i.e. bought long term calls at $13.32, and sold warrants at $20) to effectively raise the conversion premium to $20 for a total potential dilution of around 28.75M shares. So, in effect, if MYL shares are above $17 by Nov of next year they would be saving close to 25M shares in dilution from the mandatory convertible. That number is pretty close to the 28.75M potential dilution from the cash convertible notes. Do you think that is a coincidence? Rating :
