Just to stay on point in this thread, some might have got the false impression from around the way that several investors/analysts asked MAIN 'point blank' about the pace of new investments during the quarter. This is false in a variety of ways. There weren't SEVERAL investors/analysts asking 'point blank' questions on the call about the pace of originations. There was barely one question from Will Hamilton regarding draw down of the SBIC leverage. That's one question that wasn't point blank. So the credibility of the assertion has to be questioned...

As you suspected, you are incorrect. Do give the call a listen. You'll verify that this summary hits all the questions.

I whole heartedly echo that thought! Definitely, definitely listen to the call. As you can see from this thread, a person's emotions can lead them to say things about a call that are just flat out incorrect...and possibly even deny all evidence to the contrary. When somebody gets a little mad or stubborn about something, clearly, their judgement can become impared.
