The company reported an earnings increase of 63% to $10.3 million, with quarterly profits of 57 cents a share. Wall Street was only expecting 53 cents a share, so LHCG posted a nice earnings surprise. The company also reaffirmed its guidance for the year. The acquisitions were two other profitable small companies operating in their space that should be positive to earnings next time around.
