SCX is one of the cheapest stocks on the big board. It's also one of the so called "net-net" stocks, in that the stock sells for considerably less than net current assets- minus debt.
You just don't see stocks this cheap, except in a depression.
Benjamin Graham made his living by buying stocks this cheap, and selling them after they rose 50% or so.
-Meaning that a large preditory outfit could purchase all of the stock, and by selling it off piece by piece, he could make money by just selling off the financial part of the business.
Anything else is for free(factories and land).
It's also an old company with a good reputation for their gages and micrometers.
I was in inspection a very long time ago, and SCX's gages and micrometers had a reputation for being the best.
-Anyway, it's stock is very cheap.
