OK, a company (Paul Curlander) hires a guy to head marketing because company must have a marketing guy. The guy hired to head marketing knows what to do. He hires his group to run marketing under his management. PROBLEM is marketing manager learns quickly he can't do his job due to having to think through ceo's head if he wants to keep his job. Marketing can't listen to all our opinions out here. He knows what to do and how...just that his hands are tied. ceo apparently don't listen to anybody. Marketing boss can't afford to let his boss hear any criticism so get rid of them.
In spite of all the ceo failures I see slow improvement ahead for Lexmark. Though CEO gave no 1st quarter guidance it should show improvement over last. Parterning with Apple a bit with inkjet can't hurt. Three year warranty on some printers can't hurt either assuming the printers are worthy of the three year warranty which is an industry first.
