Recent downgrades in semis are surely after profit taking has occurred, some weakness 'may' occur in Jan-Mar 2010 but from what I just heard in the RTEC call big orders are coming in for fabrication and 2010 will be a re-tooling transition year - delayed because of the 2008 downturn. They said the end of 2010 would only be mid-cycle - meaning growth well into 2012.

LTXC should have a banner Q announcement as SOC will deliver big, but the overall market needs to behave. Analysts seem bent on blaming the recent stock rally on the falling dollar when in fact earnings are driving it, not just a carry trade on currency.
Top line growth (revs) will be forecast to rise overall if the jobs report on Friday behaves. That will drive the dollar back down temporarily and stocks will rally even as the dollar slowly picks up steam again going into year end as top line growth will sustain bottom line profit into 2010. All bets are off if job loss is any where near 200K or more.
