I took off my short position on LSI for one reason only: LSI's just issued report. It put LSI on a different level on just about every level ('cept the stock price). I suspect current quarter's earnings have been low-balled given the sales projections and, because of LSI's acquisition of Agere, sales have become more influenced by the holiday season. It should be a big quarter.
I can't offer an explanation as to why I see a huge positive here that the big boys have apparently missed. Numbers are numbers. If the earnings came in at .18 with lackluster sales, if sales were great but margins weak, I could see reaction being lukewarm. but . . . tell me what the weakness was in the last report? I don't see it. Given this acceleration in sales and earnings, this is, right now, an eight to ten dollar stock.
