On the last conference call they noted that the schools in Virginia , Alaska and Missouri were not included in the guidance for the year. While there may not be many student signed up the first year there may be a marginal impact, especially in Virginia, which is a sizable state.

The addition of more states also has an impact on other states not yet signed up. As large states come on line and show success and cost reduction other states should see the value of virtual charter schools. With funding for education being reduced due to the economy, states ought to be looking at ways to provide more bang for the educational buck without stepping on the toes of the teachers unions too much.
