You don't think that investors are selling off all thier stock 100 shares at
a time, do you? It is short sellers driving down the price. If you own a stock, put a sell price on it. Make the price very high, if you don't want to sell. The reason to do this is because then the short sellers can't borrow your stock, which is what they are doing now.
