unfortunately i will be out of the country during the annual meeting. i leave for italy and eastern europe for business tomorrow morning.

i would direct all questions directly to carlos and not permit him to defer the questions to others. let him demonstrate to all, including the media, just how incompetent he really is. since he is the president, ceo and chairman of the board, i can't imagine there could be a question from a stockholder that he isn't prepared to answer. for his earnings and his positions, he should be well prepared to reply to any reasonable inquiry from a stockholder.

i hope the one question that carlos gets asked is, "what are your long term plans?" and, assuming he says that he has some plans, a follow up would be, "did you just discover them since you clearly stated that you had none?"

i would also ask why the board is receiving any pay at all since they have done nothing to stem the losses nor have they done anything to assist kmt for long term recovery. another would be, "why are any bonuses being paid to anyone regardless of the efforts of a couple of individuals?" there are countless people who are working above and beyond to do all they can for kmt. to acknowledge a couple execs with a bonus is to insult everyone else.

another question would be, "why didn't you apply the 15% cut to all incentives for all who presently qualify? why only apply a 15% salary cut when some of those who received the salary cut will make more in incentives and other bonuses?" for these people, stock options at $5 more than the stock value on the date of the close of the fiscal year would be more acceptable. at least it would be based on performance of kmt and not on back room, head wagging cash the check mentality knee jerk reactions of the board who are NOT acting in the stockholders' best interests, the employees' best interests and certainly not the customers' best interest. i would also ask that the board make the 15% salary cut permanent to all who received it. after all, those who were laid off were laid off permanently. those who willingly took a furlough of one week/month took a major reduction of their income while the top handful took a cut that was incidental to their way of life.

good luck to anyone who attends. i suspect they will try to side step any questions, promise to answer questions at a later date and/or treat them as inappropriate for an annual meeting.

another question would be about illegal trade with foreign countries such as pakistan and others either directly or indirectly. now that kmt has moved so much of their mgmt and exec controls off shore, who is monitoring trades which can easily occur below the radar in countries with which there are sanctions in place.

for those of you advocating unions, maybe you are too late.

unfortunately, everyone, the board, stockholders, employees, etc., sat by and allowed kmt executives to slowly move nearly everything off shore. kmt no longer needs anything remaining here for any future endeavors. unionize and they will close the facility. there is little left and what remains can easily be engineered and manufactured in china, india, germany and by countless sub contractors, domestically and overseas.
unionization? don't hold your breath. trust me. i'm not against unions. it's just that you're too late to protect anyone or to have an impact.
