their cost structure has simply gotten bloated during good times and they are in trouble. said it months ago -- they used to be highly profitable at $30/barrel, what price do they need this time, and how much are they going to crank up costs then. yes, one would expect rig count to be higher at these prices and with a recovery about to drive prices higher, but keg isn't even keeping up with the rig count. they are being outbid and outmaneuvered. maybe enough weaker companies will fold during this shakeout for keg to survive and prosper, but it sure is discouraging to see them play in the summer and put away no nuts for the winter.
