I wanted to check back in...

My girlfriend and I ate Saturday night at the Houston location on Westheimer St. We got there about 8pm. It was very busy and I think there was only one or two empty tables at the time we were seated. We left about an hour later and the restaurant was 50% full.

The food was very good. We both had caesar salads, which were some of the best we have ever had. The entrees were very good too.

I spoke at length with some of the employees and they stated that the Houston location is up & down in terms of customer counts. They do a better lunch trade than most locations, and do slightly less on dinner. There was some talk that they were thinking of opening a second Houston location. However, they thought that plan had been put on hold because of the banks.

I also heard that an Ohio location was doing terrible and might be closed. They did not know/remember which Ohio location was doing poorly. I wonder if that location would be Toledo?

The employees also were not sure if a JAX location had ever been closed. I do not know of one. Does anyone know this for sure? If a location was closed, do you know when/where?

I hope I can get into JAX below $2. I don't think anyone 6+ months ago would have thought that talking about buying into JAX for $2 or less was a possibility.

Any thoughts?
