I saw that Scot Harkonen's trial has begun in San Francisco.
The opening argument seemed to indicate that he was going to blame some of InterMune's physicians for telling him that the faied study was in fact a positive result. If so, this may affect some of the medical group who managed to hang on. Also, I saw that the judge did not buy Harkonen's free speech argument in preliminary motions.
In addition, it has been reported that Harkonen's defense has burned through three liability policies owned by IterMune to protect itself fby indemnification for his actions. The aricles I came across also indicated that the company had a number of civil suits that happened as a result of Harkonen's actions and soon would be paying court costs without any insurance buffers.
