For every 100 IP mill workers who lose their jobs, another 900 will be hurt just as badly or worse. News feed arrive all day every day about the plight of the 100 but there is virtually nothing about the other 900. Soon to be displaced IP workers have received more attention in the past week than all of those who lost jobs when 1,000 textile mills were closed down in recent years. I want to be sensitive to anyone who loses their job but my concern isn't influenced by what journalists think should be cover the loudest for the longest.
