A reasonable question, however, you didn't define long term. Years ago this stock was a bell-weather. It has hit ridicously low prices in recent years - with little recovery considering it sold for $80 not too long ago. If INTC applied Moore's Law to its stock price lots of people would be a lot richer. INTC will reward you alright - but not in a monetary form. The company just plain stinks when it comes to rewarding people who kept their money on the table for a long time. If you're sitting on a million shares you have nothing to worry about. You can pretend and keep playing your violin on the upper deck - but the iceberg and cold salty water will wake you soon enough.
