Re: Gold hitting new highs, dollar dropping...      4-Nov-09 02:19 pm
The dollar will continue it's fall is my guess. I think the people in control of the government from congress, white house, Treas. and Fed Res are all invested in a falling dollar. It eases the pain of excessive debt which is the disease of the entire economy and makes us more competitive internationally. The downside is, it discourages saving and robs the responsible people of their savings by destroy their purchasing power and taxing the phantom gains.
Regd. to INTC: I don't think any of the Chip Fabricators are a sound investment. The capital cost is huge because of constant obsolescence and the market environment is very cyclical. Sure you can make some money trading it since it has a "Tomb Stone" pattern but that's not my game.
I fell on my back the other day and every time I move I get a stabbing pain. The worst thing is soft cushioned chairs and mattresses. I'm ready to throw them all out for something that supports you. WW
